The 2017 Cannes Film Festival began May 17. Below are five films showing at the festival that I want to see.

01. The Beguiled

Plot Summary: A wounded Union soldier is taken it by a girls’ school in Virginia during the Civil War. The house is soon taken over with rivalries and sexual tension.

02. How to Talk to Girls at Parties

Plot Summary: An alien touring the galaxy breaks off from her group and meets a young man in 1970s England.

03. The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Plot Summary: A teenager attempts to bring a surgeon into his family, with an unexpected turn.

04. Wind River

Plot Summary: A rookie FBI agent and a Fish and a US Wildlife Service veteran team up to solve a murder that takes place on a Native American reservation.

05. Wonderstruck

Plot Summary: The story of a boy in the Midwest is interwoven with the tale of a girl in New York City from 50 years before.
